Once in a Blue Moon
The quality is not the best but this is a picture I captured of the Blue Moon on Aug. 31st 2012.
What is a Blue Moon? It's not that odd blue double image. Not sure where that came from. My camera just added it in. I suspect it is a result of the UV filter.
Anyway, a Blue Moon is the second full moon in a solar month. It only happens every few years.
This one just happened to coincide with Neil Armstrong's funeral.
